Finance

The Finance Ministry is responsible for coordinating all financial and business management areas of the Church. Proper handling of all income and expenditures of Trinity’s finances, cost of operations, administrative costs, and ministry of financial matters are all included. Men and women with administration, financial planning, budgeting, money-counting and/or accounting skills are all welcome on this dedicated team.

Treasurer

Serves as one of the church’s trustees; administers checking accounts, investment accounts, and the safe deposit box on behalf of the church; periodically reviews policies and procedures pertaining to the receiving, recording, safeguarding, and depositing of monies received; and manages church assets. The treasurer also reviews financial reports for accuracy and reports to the Session monthly; provides for annual review of the church’s financial records utilizing a committee comprising qualified members from the congregation, and maintains all day-to-day fiscal activities of the church.

Budget Committee

Led by the treasurer, this team of Finance Chair, Clerk of Session, and Pastor review all policies and procedures regarding budget matters. This team is also charged with assisting committee chairs with the annual budgeting process.

Stewardship Campaign Director

Develops a plan for and manages the execution of the annual pledge drive and the building fund pledge drive. Develops plans to keep the congregation informed about other approaches to giving, including wills and bequests, memorial contributions, gift annuities, etc. Encourages members of the congregation to use their time and talents to participate in the implementation of the stewardship programs.

Stewardship Campaign Team

This team creates brochures and letters, organizes and conducts mailings, and prepares and presents to the congregation reflections on the meaning of stewardship. In addition, this group prepares information for the church bulletins and newsletter, organizes record keeping of incoming pledges, and keeps the congregation informed on Trinity’s pledge campaign progress.
