Contemporary Worship
     

 

The contemporary worship service is designed to provide a casual environment for people to experience God and respond in worship and praise. The liturgy is Presbyterian; the style is informal. Contemporary music and the use of power point and video enhance the atmosphere and provide a springboard to active involvement in the service. Opportunities to serve and support contemporary worship include:
 

Worship/Music Team

(His Glory First)

The team rehearses on a weekly basis (Monday nights) to lead the congregation musically. Vocalists and musicians help create a worshipful atmosphere at the contemporary service on Sunday mornings and during Advent on Wednesday evenings. Contact person: Robert Stocks.

 

Technical Team

Technical support is needed weekly to run the sound system and the power point program for worship. These tools provide audio and visual support to worship leaders and congregation. Connect with Robert Stocks, Contemporary Worship Leader to get involved!
   

 

Decoration/Design Team

Responsible for enhancing the physical setting of the worship service with banners, candles and more, this team helps convert our Calvin Hall gymnasium to a worship center. Contact Lisa Toews Daugherty to volunteer.

     
 

Advertising Team

Come spread the word with and through this team of volunteers skilled in communications, advertising, marketing, etc. How can we share the love of God to our surrounding communities? Come help us! Contact person:  Alison Bober.
     
 

Contemporary Worship Committee

These once a month meetings full of prayer and dreams help put direction and vision together for our contemporary services. Contact person:  Alison Bober.
